An Army Wehrpass To A First War Cavalryman & Ek Recipient

Wehrpass of Wilhelm Bohm: 54 Pages, very fine condition.    Footnote: Wilhelm Bohm, originally Böhmer, was born April 14th, 1897 in the city of Dortmund. He was married and identified himself as catholic. He attended a Volksschule where he was trained to work as a miner, the same profession as his father Wilhelm. He also had a Driver’s License 1st Class. He was conscripted on March 13th, 1937 and underwent inspection at the Military District Command in Herne. He was ruled conditionally fit and assigned to the First Militia. After subsequent inspections in 1943 and 1944 he was ruled unfit for service. In the section pertaining to his active service he retroactively fills in his activity between 1915 when he enlisted for the First War and 1919 when he was discharged. He served as part of the 11th Ulans Regiment on the Eastern Front where cavalry was still useful. He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class in 1917.
