(Orden der württembergischen Krone Ritterkreuz mit Etui). Instituted 23 September 1818 by King Wilhelm I. (1870-1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a raised and gilded crown, situated within a red enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “FURCHTLOS UND TREW” (“FEARLESS AND LOYAL”), the reverse bearing an analogous central white enameled medallion overlaid by a raised and gilded crown, situated within a red enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “FURCHTLOS UND TREW”, unmarked, measuring 38.08 mm (w) x 42.44 mm (h), weighing 10.0 grams, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux maroon leather exterior liner, the lid featuring a gilded frame, the interior with a black satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former bearing a silvered Württemberg coat of arms, with a retractable fitted black velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating minor flecking and surface scratching to the enamels with some loosening of the centre medallions, in overall extremely fine condition.
