It became known as one of the most consequential flights in history and ushered in a new era of air transportation. The banquet held at the Garden Court of the Palace Hotel in San Francisco honoured Colonel Charles Lindbergh on 16.09.1927 for his solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean, attended by the Mayor of San Francisco, James Rolph, and Chairman of the Mayor’s Citizens Committee, Jesse C.
