Hardcover, red blue cloth cover, the text on the front cover and the spine in gold-coloured ink, the graphics and trim on the front cover, the back cover and the spine in black and brown inks, entitled "Britain's Roll of Glory or The Victoria Cross, Its Heroes and Their Valour - From Personal Accounts, Official Records, and Regimental Tradition", by D.H. Parry, author of "For Glory and Renown", published by Cassell and Company, Limited of London, Paris, New York and Melbourne, the First Edition published in August 1895, the New and Revised Edition in October 1898, this edition Reprinted in 1899. There are eight single pages of black and white illustrations by Stanley L. Wood inserted as the Frontispiece with a vellum insert, and between pages 30-31, 106-107, 124-125, 152-153, 178-179, 204-205, 264-265, the illustrations complemented by a line graphic of the Victoria Cross on page xv.
