This lot includes:
1) A H.M. Coastguard Long Service and Good Conduct Medal: In silver, the reverse inscribed PRESENTED TO N. CLARK FOR LONG SERVICE, 32.3 mm in diameter, original ribbon with pin, some wear on bar suspension, extremely fine. In a hard-shelled case, white satin lined on the inside lid, blue velvet medal bed, marked Royal Mint, extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Coastguard Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was awarded for twenty years full or part-time service.
2)A King George V Coronation Medal: In silver, 32.2 mm in diameter, original ribbon, light scratches, extremely fine condition. In a hard-shelled case, white satin lined on the inside lid, blue felt medal bed, marked AYNSLEY ENGLAND, extremely fine condition.
3)A Service Medal of the Order of St. John: In silver, 38.7 mm in diameter, original ribbon with two bar clasps, extremely fine. In a hard-shelled case, white satin lined on the inside lid, black velvet medal bed, marked H.T LaMB & Co, extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Service Medal of the Order of St John is awarded to recognise both conspicuous and long service with the Venerable Order of St John, particularly in St John Ambulance, both in the United Kingdom and in a number of other Commonwealth countries and Hong Kong.
4) A War Medal 1939-45: In cupro-nickel, 36 mm in diameter, on original ribbon, in very fine condition. Accompanied by two oak leaves and a bar medal clasp.
Footnote: The War Medal 1939-45 was awarded for 28 days full-time service in the Armed Forces between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945. Operational and non-operational service may be counted, providing that it was of 28 days or more duration. In the Merchant Navy there is a requirement that the 28 days should have been served at sea.
