1. First War Victory Medal to Company Quartermaster Sergeant James Carver, Royal Engineers (in bronze gilt, impressed "604 C.Q.M. SJT. J. CARVER. R.E." on the edge, measuring 36.2 mm in diameter, residue evident on the ribbon from previous board mounting);
2. National Safety First Association Drivers Award for 5 Years Safe Driving Competition with Four Clasps (in silver with red enamels, recipient engraved "J. CARVER", maker marked "JAW & Co", marked with an anchor (made in Birmingham), the British lion and date marked "M" (1936) on the reverse, measuring 27.7 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), with four silver clasps dated "1937, 1938, 1939, 1940" respectively, on its original ribbon, suspended from a hanger with pinback dated "1936");
3. Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Drivers Award for 10 Years Safe Driving with Four Clasps (two-piece construction, in silvered and gilt bronze with red enamels, recipient engraved "J. CARVER" on the reverse, measuring 32.5 mm (w) x 37 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, with four silvered bronze oak leaf clasps dated "1942, 1943, 1944, 1945" respectively, on its original ribbon, suspended from a hanger with pinback dated "1941"). Better than very fine.
Footnote: James Carver was with the Royal Engineers when he entered the French theatre on January 19, 1915. In addition to the Victory Medal, he was awarded the 1914-15 Star, however, it is noted on his Index Card that he was not awarded the British War Medal.
