Description
(Ordre national du Mérite) Order of National Merit, Grand Officer. Of two piece construction, the Order is a seven-pointed star of dark blue enamel with a golden coloured rim and between the rays in the form of seven pointed rays of different sizes, arranged pyramidally, measuring 64.9 mm in diameter and weighing 84.1 grams, in the center of the star is a gold medallion with a wide border, on which a laurel wreath is located in relief. In the center of the medallion there is a relief emblem of the shield of Tunisia, on top of the inscription in Arabic "Republic of Tunisia", and on the bottom: "National Order of Merit", featuring a plain reverse, and with the boar makers mark for Arthus Bertrand on the suspension ring, missing the ribbon. In excellent condition with no damage to the enamels.
