Softcover, the laminated front cover with colour photographs, entitled "El Armamento Portátil Español (1764-1939), una labor artillería (The Spanish Portable Armament (1764-1939), an artillery work), by Bernardo Barcelo Rubi, copyrighted by the author in 1976, the text in Spanish, published by the San Martin Editorial Library at Madrid (Libreria Editorial San Martin Madrid), publication authorized by the Army General Staff, ISBN 84-7140-138-X. It features various types of weaponry used by the Spanish over the course of 175 years. It begins with an Index, followed by a Foreword by Jorge Vigon Suero-Diaz (General of the Artillery Brigade, dated December 1974 at Madrid), an Introduction and a List of Abbreviations. It is divided into three parts: Part I - Knives (Armas Blancas), with four chapters (1. Swords and Sprats (Espadas y Espadines); 2. Sabres (Sables); 3. Machettes, Knives and Bayonets Combined (Machettes, Cuchillos y Bayonetas Combinadas); 4. Spiked Weapons (Armas Enastadas); Part II - Firearms (Armas de Fuego), with two chapters (1. Long Weapons (Armas Largas); 2. Short Weapons (Armas Cortas); Part III - Glossary. It concludes with a four page Bibliography. The book contains 312 pages of detailed text in Spanish, complemented by multiple photographs, printed in black ink, on a white paper stock, measuring 213 mm (w) x 266 mm (h) x 20 mm (d).
