(Orden de Cisneros). Instituted by General Francisco Franco on March 8, 1944. 1944-1975 issued. Constructed of 18kt Gold, consisting of a superb enameled red Maltese cross with detailed faceted ball finials, exhibiting typical crossed Gold arrows across the quadrants, the cross is superimposed by a large finely enameled black and yellow period Spanish eagle, with plain reverse, measuring 61.12 mm (w) x 86.83 mm (h - inclusive the suspension), weighting 49 grams, suspended by a full-length original neck ribbon, on a loop suspension also in Gold, with light contact, near mint condition. Accompanied by a corrugated hard-shelled blue case with gilded stamped details, the interior lid in white silk exhibiting maker's mark of CEJALVO, MADRID, with recessed velvet black bed medal, measuring 117 mm (w) x 37 mm (h) x 188 mm (l), light contact, with functional push-button, in extremely fine condition.
