1613-1913. In silver insignia mounted to a silver gilt wreath base, 33.5 mm (w) x 45.2 mm (h), wingnut screwback, maker marked ""З.КОРТМАНЪ"" (Z. Kortman) on the support plate, traces of gilt remains, near extremely fine.

Footnote: This badge was personally awarded by Tsar Nicholas II, to deserving members of his entourage on the day of the Jubilee, issued to nobility and military officers. It is claimed that the Tsar sincerely desired to have this badge passed on to first-born sons of the recipients generation through generation. As far as it is known, no official ukase (edict of the Russian government) appeared to this wish, but if so, this particular badge would be unique in the bestowing of awards by any nation.
