Romania, Republic. A Pair Of Two Decorations Issued To Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej

A pair of two awards presented to Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej as well as an official award booklet issued to Gheorghiu-Dej confirming both decorations.
 
Order of Labour, I Class. In in solid (0.900 pure) Gold,wreath in silver with red and yellow enamels, weighing 58 grams,  marked "900" (0.900 pure Gold) on the pin, measuring 43.2 mm x 46.3 mm, vertical pinback, accompanied by its 23.8 mm x 10 mm x ribbon bar, in its hardshelled case of issue, marked "ORDINUL MUNCII CL. I" on the lid, recessed medal bed and ribbon bar bed, extremely fine and extremely rare in Gold.
 
Romania, Republic. An Order of the Star of the Romanian People's Republic, I Class, Issued to Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej
 
"30 Decembrie 1947", I Class 1947-1965, featuring a gilt wreath centering a red and blue enamelled star, mounted to a silver gilt five-pointed star base, measuring 53.2 mm x 53.2 mm, vertical pinback, in its hardshelled case of issue, marked "Ordinul Steaua R.P.R. Cl. I" on the lid, maker marked "MONETARIA NATIONALA" (National Mint) on the inside lid, slotted medal bed, very fine.
 
The awards are also accompanied by two pieces of original document from the personal effects and estate of Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej. 45.
 
A Great National Assembly Deputy Card, semi-hardcover, emboss stamped black and white photo, three stamps, numbered "1" and dated January 24, 1953, measuring 70 mm x 97 mm, very fine.
 
A Booklet Confirming Six Awards (semi-hardcover, black and white emboss stamped photo in black and white, listing six awards and the date of each award: Order of the Star of the Romanian People's Republic I Class (May 8, 1948), Order for the Defence of the Homeland I Class (August 20, 1949), Order of Labour I Class (December 25, 1948), Medal for Liberation from the Fascist Yoke (August 20, 1949), Medal for the 5th Anniversary of the Romanian People's Republic 1947-1952 (December 24, 1952), Medal for the 10th Anniversary of the Armed Forces 1943-1953 (October 1, 1953), measuring 77 mm x 108 mm); very fine.
