Morocco, Kingdom. An Order of the Throne, Grand Cordon Set, Cased

(Wissam al-Aroh / وسام العرش). Instituted in 1963. Grand Cordon Badge: in bronze gilt with green enamels, measuring 56.8 mm (w) x 56.5 mm (h), on its original full-length sash that incorporates a decorative moiré pattern and features a large bow-tie; Breast Star: three-piece construction, in bronze gilt with green enamels, measuring 78 mm (w) x 73.5 mm (h), vertical pinback; and Miniature: in bronze gilt with green enamels, measuring 14.7 mm (w) x 15 mm (h), original ribbon. Intact enamels, light contact, gilt wear evident on the reverse of the Grand Cordon Badge, very fine. Accompanied by their 9 mm wide rosette with button hole attachment, in their hardshelled case of issue, green dimpled papered exterior, Morocco coat-of-arms on the lid, inside lid in white satin, padded and maker marked "ARTHUS BERTRAND RABAT", base incorporating a platform in orangey-yellow felt and slotted for the Breast Star, measuring 143 mm (w) x 295 mm (h) x 70 mm (d), exterior exhibiting extensive scuffing and wear, the back panel on the lid having experienced separation from the body of the case that exposes the underlying wooden framework, case fair.
