Jordan, Kingdom. An Order of the Star of Jordan, III. Class Commander, by Garrard & Co. Ltd

(Wisam al-Kawkab al-Urduni). Instituted June 22nd, 1949. Constructed of silver, consisting of a seven-rayed star, each ray consisting of five multi-faceted quills at the lower level and three multi-faceted quills at the the top level, with seven gilded five-pointed stars between the arms of the star, with a central gilt medallion surrounded by a broad green enameled ring inscribed with “Order of the Star of Jordan III. Class 1366. AH” in Arabic script, suspended from one additional and slightly larger gilded five-pointed star with a broad oval loop and neck ribbon, maker marked by Garrard & Co. Ltd and with a series of three Sheffield silver hallmarks, measuring 62.3 mm (w) x 60.4 mm (l), weighing 59.67 grams. Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core with a lightly textured black faux leather exterior, the interior of the lid lined with white cardstock, with functional dual exterior metal hinges, no hinge cover and functional exterior metal clasp for secure closing of the case, measuring 113 mm (w) x 167 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
