(1967 مدال تاجگذاری محمدرضا شاه). Instituted in 1967. In bronze gilt, unmarked, obverse illustrating the conjoined crowned busts of Mohammad Reza Shah and his wife Farah, reverse with the inscription in Persian with the year "1346" (1967), measuring 38.2 mm (w) x 43.5 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, bronze gilt Pahlavi crown clasp in bronze gilt affixed to its original ribbon with dual prong pinback, in its original white cardboard box of issue with paper wrapper, near mint.
Footnote: Mohammad Reza Shah took the title "Shahanshah" (King of Kings) October 26, 1967 and held several other titles, including that of "Aryamehr" (Light of the Aryans) and "Bozorg Arteshtaran" (Commander-in-Chief). He was the second and last monarch of the House of Pahlavi. His dream of what he referred to as a "Great Civilization" in Iran led to a rapid industrial and military modernization, as well as economic and social reforms.
