In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

(Legion Condor Brieföffner). A rare and exceptional Condor Legion commemorative letter opener, measuring 19.5 cm in total length, featuring a nickel-plated magnetic steel blade which retains unspoiled sharpening, with the tang situated within a two-piece gilded and blackened magnetic metal handle grip, the obverse bearing a gilt first-pattern Luftwaffe eagle, situated above a mobile swastika flanked by an inscription of “L.C. 88” (“LEGION CONDOR”, with the numerical designation assigned to most Condor Legion units, including Kampfgruppe 88, Jagdgruppe 88, Auklärungsgruppe 88, Nachrichtenabteilung 88, and Flakabteilung 88), in turn surrounded by rosettes and a mark of “TOLEDO” indicating production in the centre of Spanish edged weapon manufacturing, the reverse of the handle bearing an intricate gilt dragon, similarly flanked by rosettes, demonstrating minor scratching to the blade, a superb example of exceptional quality, privately-purchased at considerable expense by a Condor Legion serviceman (likely an Officer) as a memento of Germany’s successful campaign in support of Franco’s Nationalist forces, in extremely fine condition.
