Description

(Gehänge). A mixed lot of hangers for edged weapons, including:

1. A group of five Wehrmacht/Sturmabteilung dagger hangers, each constructed of black or brown leather and culminating in a magnetic metal D-ring, all unmarked and demonstrating material fatigue and surface oxidation to the leather and rings, respectively, in overall better than very fine condition.

2. A sword hanger, constructed of a brown leather strap culminating at each end in a functional magnetic metal spring clip, adjusted at one end with a functional magnetic metal buckle, unmarked, measuring 1.5 cm (w) x 75 cm (l) as presented, demonstrating minor material fatigue and surface oxidation to the leather and metal fixtures, respectively, in very fine condition.

3. A bayonet frog, constructed of multiple panels of brown leather, stitched into a loop for belt suspension, the reverse bearing a partially-legible maker’s mark of “F. FRANEK”, measuring 7 cm (w) x 22 cm (l), a Czechoslovakian-made example requisitioned for German use in extremely fine condition.
