(Wehrmacht Auszeichnungen und Insignien). A mixed lot of awards and insignia, including:

1. A War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.19 mm in diameter, weighing 12.8 grams, in near mint condition.

2. An Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a barrel hinge emanating from a rectangular base and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a documented variant produced by an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 48.53 mm (w) x 61.62 mm (h), weighing 16.5 grams, demonstrating total loss of silver finish and period replacement of the catch, in fair condition.

3. A matching set of Heer Construction/Engineer Officer collar tabs, each constructed of dark green wool with buckram cores and topped by silver aluminum wire insignia bisected by black threaded tresses, both unmarked and measuring 40 mm (w) x 70 mm (o), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in uniform-removed and extremely fine condition.
