A lot of awards and documents to Oberzahlmeister Josef Jodlbauer, including a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “56” for Robert Hauschild, Pforzheim, measuring 49.24 mm (w) x 49.14 mm (h), weighing 22.3 grams, in extremely fine condition, accompanied by its award document; named to Jodlbauer as an Oberzahlmeister, issued on 30 September 1940, featuring a handwritten signature of General Walter Kuntze (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 18 October 1941), measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in extremely fine condition;
An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”) above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 35.68 mm (w) x 44.37 mm (h), weighing 21.0 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, accompanied by its package of issues, constructed of light brown paper stock, the exterior bearing an inscription of “MEDAILLE ‘WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 41/42’ (OSTMEDAILLE)” and a maker’s mark of “CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), with some loss of finish and moderate tearing evident to the medal and package, respectively, in overall better than very fine condition, accompanied by a preliminary award document, issued at Crimea on 7 August 1942, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, also accompanied by a primary award document, named to Jodlbauer as a Stabszahlmeister, issued at Regensburg on 7 December 1943, measuring 138 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with soiling evident, in overall near extremely fine condition;
A Krim Shield, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a field-grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, the shield measuring 51.60 mm (w) x 61.84 mm (h), in better than very fine condition, accompanied by its award document, named to Jodlbauer as an Oberzahlmeister, issued on 15 October 1942, with a facsimile signature of Generalfeldmarschall Erich von Manstein, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), in better than very fine condition, and;
An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse with an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 37.39 mm (w) x 42.42 mm (h), weighing 13.9 grams, accompanied by its award document, issued on 30 January 1935, measuring 212 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), with some soiling and fatigue evident, in better than very fine condition.
