Germany, Third Reich. An Honour Cross Of The World War 1914/1918, With Award Document To Johannes Von See, C. 1936

(Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918). An iron cross paty constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse centre bears the dates “1914 1918” encompassed by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, two upwards facing crossed swords lay in the quadrants between the arms, the reverse is plain and marked “RSL”, with loop for suspension on a red, black and white striped ribbon, measuring 37.14 mm (w) x 40.91 mm (h), weighing 15.2 grams, very fine.

An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 Award Document, on cream-coloured paper, awarded to the sailor Johannes von See in Stade on 20 January 1936. The document is numbered “Nr. 241 /35”, stamped with the seal of the administration of Stade and signed. Presenting four folding creases, with creasing throughout and minimal discolouration. Measuring 211 mm (w) x 149 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
