(Ausweispapiere). A mixed lot of four identity booklets named to Michael Gröbert, who saw active service in both the First and Second World Wars, including:
1. A Heer Militärpaß (Military Pass), constructed of a grey-blue paper stock binding retaining all 18 paginated interior pages, featuring handwritten entries assigning the booklet to Gröbert, born 28 September 1895 in the district of Landau, who initially served from November 1915 until 9 March 1919 with Bavarian units (including 4. Infanterie-Regiment) and was awarded the Iron Cross II Class,retaining a small black-and-white photo of the bearer, measuring 86 mm (w) x 142 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
2. A Wehrpass, constructed of a field-grey card stock binding and retaining all 54 paginated interior pages, featuring handwritten entries assigning the booklet to Gröbert, who re-entered active service in 1942 and who served with artillery units, including coastal artillery service along the English Channel and Atlantic Wall, retaining a certified black-and-white portrait of Gröbert, concealed within its period original sleeve, measuring 115 mm (w) x 152 mm (h), with some material fatigue evident, in very fine condition.
3. An Organisation Todt Dienstbuch (Service Book), constructed of a card stock binding with the interior retaining all 39 paginated pages, featuring handwritten entries assigning the booklet to Gröbert, issued in Berlin on 12 April 1943, measuring 115 mm (w) x 145 mm (h), the swastika insignia have been obscured, in very fine condition.
4. An Arbeitsbuch, constructed of a card stock binding with the interior retaining all 38 paginated interior pages, featuring handwritten entries assigning the booklet to Gröbert, indicating that he was employed in the construction and land surveying industries from the late 1930s through 1944, measuring 105 mm (w) x 148 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
