Germany, Third Reich. A Germanic Folk Art Swastika Pendant in Silver, by Theodor Fahrner

(Hakenkreuz Anhänger in Silber). Constructed of gilded silver, the obverse consisting of a mobile swastika with ribbed arms decorated with raised and ribbed arabesques, bearing a central shield boss-style adornment, topped by an eyelet retaining an original neck chain with functional clasp, the reverse of the pendant maker marked “ORIGINAL FAHRNER” for the firm of noted jeweller Theodor Fahrner, Pforzheim, with a silver content number of “935”, the pendant measuring 26 mm (w) x 26 mm (h), weighing 2.3 grams, demonstrating loss of gilt finish and a consistent patina throughout the base metal, a patriotic necklace in better than very fine condition.
