(Orden und Ehrenzeichen im Dritten Reich). A well-preserved edition of “Orden und Ehrenzeichen im Dritten Reich” (“Order and Decorations in the Third Reich”), constructed of a card stock binding with 96 paginated interior pages (including an 88 page text and 8 page addendum), featuring black-and-white photographs of civil, state, and military awards issued by Germany as of the date of publication, each supplemented by lengthy and detailed descriptions in Fraktur script delving into classes, statutes, with the addendum updating the original 1939 publication to include Wehrmacht awards instituted subsequent to the commencement of the Second World War, published by Berlin Buch- und Zeitschriften Verlag (E. O. Erdmenger & Co.), notably featuring multiple inventory stamps from the library of the University of Vienna, with an additional inventory label pasted to the upper left corner of the cover, measuring 15.5 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), the dust jacket is missing, with minor soiling and material fatigue also evidence (but with no compromise of the binding or structural integrity), a superb example of a primary reference guide from the inventory of a noted institute of higher learning in better than very fine condition.
