In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Waffen-SS Dienstrock). An interesting and well-preserved late-war Waffen-SS service tunic, constructed of a field-grey drill cloth with a pronounced herringbone twill (HBT) weave. It features a turned-down collar which is flanked on each side by tabs constructed of black wool with rigid buckram cores. Each measuring 40 mm (w) x 50 mm (l), the right side insignia tab bears machine-embroidered silver-grey Sig runes, while the left side rank tab is plain (for a rank of SS-Mann). Affixed to the upper left arm with hand stitching is a late-period insignia consisting of a black rayon backer bearing a printed off-white SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 85 mm (w) x 40 mm (h). Buttonless side pockets are set into the lower half of each breast flap, while the tunic closes with five pebbled metal buttons on the right side meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left. Stitched onto the interior of the right breast is a white cotton label bearing a partially-legible owner’s surname and Feldpostnummer of “26941”, indicating an individual serving with Stab Panzerjäger-Abteilung SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Division Prinze Eugen. Otherwise unmarked, the tunic measures approximately 42 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 52 cm, and an overall body length of 63 cm when folded on a flat surface. Sporadic soiling and material fatigue consistent with age and field wear is evident throughout the tunic, but this late-period example, worn during combat with Yugoslav Partisans as the unit withdrew into Austria, remains in a very fine condition.
