Germany, SS. A Rare Award Document for an SS Honour Ring, with Himmler Signature, to SS-Scharführer Walter Obleser

(SS-Ehrenring Urkunde mit Reichsführer-SS Unterschrift). Constructed of off-white paper stock, the obverse bearing a black ink typewritten dedication to “SS-SCHARFÜHRER WALTER OBLESER”, SS service number “974 67548”, who served with 19. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (lettische Nr. 2)/(19th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (2nd Latvian), dated “19. OKTOBER 1942”, situated above a form letter expressing the symbolism and significance of the Honour Ring to the recipient, closing with the clear handwritten signature of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, measuring 20.5 cm (w) x 29 cm (h), demonstrating some folding creases, with a tear extending from the top of the vertical crease approximately two-thirds of the way down, with minor discolouration also evident, an exceptionally rare document to a Non-Commissioned Officer serving with a desirable Waffen-SS foreign volunteer unit, in very fine condition.
