Germany, NSDAP. A Political Leader’s Belt and Buckle, by Friedrich Linden

(Feldbindenschloss für Politische Leiter der NSDAP). A matching NSDAP Political Leader’s belt and buckle, the former constructed of pressed brown leather, one end stitched into a loop to accommodate a gilded aluminum loop, the opposite edge retaining a hidden leather tongue perforated with seven sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, with two sliding brown leather loops at each end, the loop marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M4/24” for Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, the tongue stamped with an inscription of “KERNSTÜCK”, an RZM logo, and leatherworker code of “L2/1/39” for an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 6 cm (w) x 120 cm (l); the latter constructed of gilded aluminum, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, bearing an NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a catch and claws emanating from a functional roller, marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M4/24” for Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 55 mm in diameter, demonstrating minor loss of finish to high-contact points throughout the base metal, a matching accompaniment to the belt’s integral hardware, in overall extremely fine condition.
