In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Luftwaffe Papier). A group of Second War period documents belonging to Luftwaffe Major Martin Körner. Born 15 May 1913 in Meinersdorf, Saxony, Körner enlisted in the Luftwaffe on 18 August 1939 and served with a transportation wing through December 1944. He was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 12 January 1943, and the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross on 14 March 1943. Holding the rank of Hauptmann (Captain), 4./KGrp z.b.V. 9., as of April 1943, he was later promoted to Major. Körner survived the war and died in 1993. The Soldbuch measures 103 mm (w) x 145 mm (h) and shows minor soiling and material fatigue, in otherwise near very fine condition; the Wehrmacht driver’s license, measuring 93 mm (w) x 138 mm (h), shows moderate soiling and material fatigue, and is in near very fine condition.
Footnote: Martin Körner is noted to have saved the lives of many German soldiers lives by flying dangerous transport missions into Stalingrad using a JU52 Transport; likely earning him the RK in March of 1943.
