In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(1. Luftwaffe-Feld-Division Beförderungs-Glückwunschdokument). Constructed of off-white paper stock, folded into a booklet, the cover bearing a handwritten dedication of “DEM KOMMANDEUR DER 1. LW. FELDDIVISION” (“TO THE COMMANDER OF THE 1S LUFTWAFFE FIELD DIVISION”) in Fraktur script, topped by a hand-drawn and multi-coloured depiction of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, opening to reveal a hand-drawn divisional emblem on the interior of the cover, with the opposite page bearing an additional handwritten dedication of “HERZLICHEN GLÜCKWUNSCH ZUR BEFÖRDERUNG, OFFIZIERE, UNTEROFFIZIERE, U. MANNSCHAFTEN DER SAN. KOMP. (1. MOT.) 1. LW. FELDD.” (“HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PROMOTION, THE OFFICERS, NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS, AND ENLISTED MEN OF THE SAN. KOMP. (1.MOT.) 1. LW. FELDD.”), undated, measuring 228 mm (w) x 324 mm (h) when folded, with some age-appropriate discolouration evident in addition to minor smudging of the inscriptions, with creasing lines consistent with being folded into quadrants, a unique field-made commemorative document in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Although undated, the command history of the 1st Luftwaffe Field Division reveals that the document was dedicated to either Generalleutnant Gustav Wilke, Generalmajor Werner Zech, or Generalmajor Rudolf Petrauschke.
