A lot of three uniform items, including a reefer jacket, vest, and riding breeches. The reefer jacket (Seemannsjacke) is constructed of navy blue fine-quality cloth, the front presents double breasted, golden anchor buttons are positioned in five pairs, with one row of buttons on each front panel, maker marked on reverse with C. Th. DICKE, bearing two side hip pockets with rectangular pocket flaps, with a horizontally open breast pocket, the right breast presents a officer’s breast eagle in embroidered gilt wire, measuring 104 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), the collar and lapels are slightly stiffened by an interior lining, each sleeve bears three standard pattern sleeve braids each measuring 16 mm wide, each sleeve also bears a star in gilt wire, the jacket is lined in black cotton while the sleeves are off-white striped colours, the interior left breast pocket bears a maker’s label for H. N. KRAHN Hamburg, Börsenbrück, presenting evidence of period repairs to the interior, the jacket measures a total of 41.5 cm across the shoulders, 61 cm in the arms, and 75 cm in total length, presenting minimal wear and minimal mothing, and in near extremely fine condition.
A blue vest (Weste), constructed off a navy blue cloth, the two front panels are connected to the back, which was black satin, by shoulder and lateral seams, the back has two panels with a centre seam, the front panels connect with four gold anchor buttons, the reverse of each buttons presents the Assmann logo and inscribed FEUERVERGOLDET, the cut-out of the breast takes the form of U, the front presents two pockets with horizontal openings, the vest is lined by cream-coloured rayon-cotton cloth, the vest measures 41 cm across the chest and 46.5 cm in total length, presenting a central stain on the lining, in otherwise near very fine condition.
Riding Breeches (Reithose), constructed of navy blue tricot, with a button-up fly with four black bakelite buttons meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes, the partially-lined waist, measuring 44.5 cm across, is lined with six additional buttons for suspenders, there are diagonal-slit pockets with a single, smaller patch pocket beside the right diagonal pocket, the rear presents two patch pockets secured with black bakelite buttons, the thigh portion of the legs wider cut at the outside, the part from the knee down is close-fitting with a lateral slash, which is closed by five black bakelite buttons, the seat of the breeches feature a cloth patch on the seat, the knees also feature patches, constructed of soft grey leather, the outer seam measures 97.5 cm in length, the inner seam measures 64.5 cm in length, the breeches present mild soiling, but in otherwise very fine condition.
