(Heer Gürtelschnallen für Mannschaften). A mixed lot of Heer (Army) Enlisted ranks belt buckles, including:
1. A group of five Prussian M1895 buckles, each constructed of brass with nickel silver, the obverse of each bearing a central raised crown, situated within a circular ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with laurel branches, the reverse of each with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, all unmarked and measuring 60 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), some demonstrating minor to moderate denting, in overall very fine condition.
2. One Prussian M1915 buckle, constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a circular ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
3. One Saxon buckle, constructed of brass and nickel silver, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a circular ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “PROVIDENTIAE MEMOR” (“REMEMBER PROVIDENCE”), the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
4. One Württemberg, constructed of brass and nickel silver, the obverse bearing a central raised Württemberg coat of arms, situated within a circular ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “FURCHTLOS UND TREW” (“FEARLESS AND LOYAL”), the reverse with a loop and attachment prongs emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), demonstrating minor denting, in better than very fine condition.
