Germany, Imperial. A Jubilee Medal Bar for a Combatant of the German Wars of Unification, Partially Complete Example

(Ordensschnalle). A partially-complete medal bar for a combatant of the German Wars of Liberation, featuring four awards and decorations, including:

1. A 25th Jubilee Clasp to the 1870 Iron Cross II class, constructed of a silver alloy, the obverse consisting of three overlapping oak leaves bearing a raised number “25”, unmarked, measuring 26.09 mm (w) x 17.21 mm (h), affixed with both original attachment prongs to a ribbon for the 1870 Iron Cross II Class, in near extremely fine condition.

2. A Königgratz Cross, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 34.40 mm (w) x 39.30 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.

3. A War Commemorative Medal for Combatants of 1870/71, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 29.03 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.

4. A Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 39.12 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.

All suspended from a 170 mm-long trapezoidal bar with a red wool liner and magnetic metal core, unmarked, missing two awards and with deterioration and hand-colouring visible to the ribbons, an unusual example with safety pin-style attachments, in fair condition.
