First publication is entitled "ARMEE FRANCAISE Insignes Brodés" (French Army Embroidered Insignia), containing 99 unbound pages with line illustration drawings, most of the drawings with documentation identifying each badge in French, the pages with multiple handwritten notations in blue ink throughout, translating the French. The illustrated badges include: Army of Armistice, Airborne Troops (Army of the Air, artillery, bases, commandos, colonial, general, marine, metropolitan infantry, orient, regiments), Armoured, Boards, Corps, Engineers, French Expeditionary Corps in Italy, Foreign Legion, Gendarmerie (directions and staff, national legions, marine, mobile, North Africa, Orient, occupied lands), Guerrilla Snipers, Half Brigades, Hunters, Large Units, Material Transmissions, Military Government in the French Zone of Occupation, Mobile Guard of the Republic (Mounted Police), Schools, Train Squadrons, among others. The second publication is also entitled "ARMEE FRANCAISE Insignes Brodés", containing 46 unbound pages, all of which are duplicates from the first publication (original set). All 145 pages are printed in brown ink on a white paper stock, some of which have been three-hole punched, measuring 215 mm (w) x 280 mm (h) each, the front and back pages of the original set experiencing soiling. Both publications come clamped in place in a binder, marked "ARMEE FRANCAISE INSIGNES" on the spine. Near extremely fine.

This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society. His knowledge and passion for history and awards is evident in this meticulously compiled collection that is now available in its entirety for the first time exclusively on eMedals.com.
