(Red kneza Domagoja). Instituted in 1995. Obverse illustrating a kneeling naked archer insignia in silver gilt, mounted to a silver base bearing a semi-circular ornament in the form of a wave with the inscription "KNEZ DOMAGOJ" (Prince Domagoj), the Croatian coat-of-arms backed by crossed swords above, reverse inscribed "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA" (Republic of Croatia) framed by the Croatian interlace (AKA wattle), measuring 40 mm (w) x 50 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, on its original full-length red and white checkered neck ribbon with clasp, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of Duke Domagoj was instituted on March 10, 1995 and awarded to Croatian and foreign service personnel and employees of the Ministry of the Interior for outstanding heroism in time of war, or exceptionally in peacetime. It is the eighth most important medal given by the Republic of Croatia and is the nation's highest award for bravery. It is named after Duke Domagoj of Croatia (864 to 876), the founder of the Domagojević dynasty.
