(Order of Chia-Ho (嘉禾). Instituted 1912. 1912-1929 Issue. An enameled white eight pointed star in silver gilt, featuring gilded smaller rays between the arms, surmounted by a symbol of the Thunder Cloud and loop suspension, obverse centre with a tied Golden Grain symbol in natural enamels, on an enameled white background, surrounded by a black enamel border with “eyes” displaying the colors of the Republic, reverse with an enameled red background lettering by Chinese characters, measuring 61.3 mm (w) x 79.2 mm (h - inclusive of suspension), worn on a segment of correct replacement neck ribbon, enamel chips on the obverse arms, light wear, remains extremely fine.
Contained in original case of issue, a black lacquer with golden lettering on the lid, interior silk lid and blue velvet medal bed, measures 85 mm (w) x 141 mm (l) x 30 mm (d), functional hinge and clasp, very fine condition.
