Hardcover, royal blue cloth cover, the text and insignia on the spine in silver-coloured ink, entitled "Wait for the Waggon - The Story of The Royal Canadian Army Service Corps", by copyrighted in Canada in 1961 by McClelland and Stewart Limited, printed and bound in Canada by The Hunter Rose Company Limited, published on the sixtieth anniversary of the RCASC (1901-1961). The inside front and back covers feature maps in gray ink labelled "North-West Europe 1939-1945" and "The Central Mediterranean 1943-1945", respectively. In addition, there are thirty-two pages of black and white photographs inserted between pages 182 and 183. It begins with a Dedication: "To all the men who have been part of Canada's Army Service Corps since it was formed in 1901 and especially to those who lost their lives in the service of their country this book is dedicated", followed by a Preface by the Colonel-in-Chief The Duke of Gloucester, a Table of Contents, a Foreword by Arnold Warren (dated July 1961, at Caledon East, Ontario) and a Prologue. The book is divided into six parts with sixteen chapters: Part I - The Problem of Supply and Transport (1 - A Lesson It Took Centuries to Learn); Part II - 1901-1914 (2 - The Canadian Army Service Corps); Part III - The Great War (3 - The CASC Goes to War; 4 - A Canadian Expeditionary Force Is Formed; 5 - The 1st Canadian Division Becomes Battle-worthy; 6 - The Evolution of Supply and Transport: 1915-1918); Part IV - 1919-1939 (7 - The Lean Years); Part V - World War II (8 - The RCASC Goes to War; 9 - The Hiatus: 1939-1943; 10 - The RCASC Is Groomed for the Offensive; 11 - The Land Offensive Begins: 1943; 12 - The Campaign in Italy: 1943-1945; 13 - Operation "Overlord": 1944; 14 - The Long Road to Victory: 1944-1945); Part VI - Korea (15 - The RCASC Prepares for War in Korea: 1950-1951; 16 - Maintaining the 1st Commonwealth Division).
