Footnote: Battery Quartermaster Sergeant Angus Eugene Morrison (Service No. 89282) was born on 2 April 1889 in Ottawa, Ontario. He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 30 March 1915, then joining the artillery, where he rose to the rank of B.Q.M.S., responsible for managing supplies, ammunition, and logistical support for his battery. Morrison served on the Western Front during the First World War and was actively engaged in the Third Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) in 1917, one of the war’s most grueling campaigns. On 4 November 1917, he was killed in action.
