Silver laurel wreath wrapped around a gold medallion topped by a silver imperial eagle, obverse center medallion bearing the left profile of Emperor Napoleon III, surrounded by a blue enameled ring with the inscription LOUIS-NAPOLEON, reverse center medallion bearing the inscription VALEUR ET DISCIPLINE, on original ribbon, evidence of gilt wear, enamels intact, 52 mm (h) x 27.4 mm (w), very fine condition.

2. France, III Republic. A Military Medal. Silver laurel wreath wrapped around a gold medallion topped by a trophy of arms suspension, obverse center medallion bearing the left profile of Marianne, surrounded by a blue enameled ring with the inscription RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE 1870, reverse center medallion bearing the inscription VALEUR ET DISCIPLINE, on original ribbon, evidence of gilt wear, enamels intact, 52 mm (h) x 27.4 mm (w), very fine condition.
