Description
First belt has a three-prong open-claw buckle, in magnetic steel with a brown painted finish on the right end of the belt, unmarked, the buckle measuring 26 mm x 43 mm. Belt fabricated from olive green cotton with olive green stitching, unmarked, the belt wrapping around the bar of the buckle to the reverse of the belt and stitched in place, the belt measuring 38 mm x 930 mm. Second belt has an oval buckle with one prong in brass on the right end of the belt, non-magnetic, the buckle measuring 12 mm x 37 mm. Belt fabricated from a webbed navy blue cotton, unmarked, the belt wrapping around the bar of the buckle to the reverse of the belt and stitched in place, seven holes with gray painted metal eyelets for length adjustment on the left end, the belt measuring 31 mm x 855 mm. Extremely fine.

Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
