(Jewellery, Brooches). Victorian. Ladies. A circular brooch crafted in 14kt yellow gold. The obverse center features a four-looped ribbon, with one of the loops bearing a black enamelled border and six graduated pearls. The border of the ribbon and the circular back features a delicate, engraved foliage design. Between the two ribbon ends are two tassels set at varying lengths. The reverse of the brooch bears a window with a piece of light-coloured fabric. It also bears a horizontal pin with an ornate C-catch. The 6 o’clock position of the reverse bears a hook with a security chain and pin attached. The brooch measures 37.55 mm (w) x 63.86mm (l) including tassels and weighing 25.1 grams. In extremely fine condition.
