Germany, Wehrmacht. A Serviceman’s Wristwatch, by Doxa, c. 1944

(Wehrmacht Dienstuhr). A Wehrmacht serviceman’s wristwatch, constructed of a plated steel casing with a black dial, featuring hour marks 1-12 in Arabic numerals, graded at five intervals, the lower half with a 60-second stopwatch, both retaining all arms, with intact luminescent radium paint on both the numerals and arms, with a functional crown emanating from the side, the caseback stamped with a serial number of “4453700”, the dial maker marked “DOXA” for a a prolific Swiss manufacturer of timepieces commonly issued to all branches of the Wehrmacht, measuring 34 mm in diameter, with a replacement black canvas strap, the watch appears to remain functional but should be examined by qualified expert, in very fine condition.
