The collection is named to Georg Weingärtner of the Reserve of the 9th Infantry Regiment Wrede in Bavaria. It includes: a promotion certificate to Oberleutnant (first lieutenant); an additional confirmation certificate for the promotion to Oberleutnant; a promotion certificate to Leutnant (second lieutenant); an honorary member certificate in the German Warrior League.
The promotion document to Oberleutnant is dated to Munich on February 22, 1914. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 331 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, remains extremely fine.
The confirmation certificate of promotion to Oberleutnant is dated to Munich on April 9, 1915. Measuring 210 mm (w) x 328 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, remains extremely fine.
The promotion document to Leutnant is dated to Munich on December 22, 1906. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 328 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, a small rip, and minimal scuffing of the edges, remains better than very fine.
The honorary member certificate is unnamed. It was issued by the German Warrior League (Deutscher Kriegerbund) in Regensburg, Bavaria. It is dated to April 10, 1914. Measuring 210 mm (w) x 330 mm (h), presenting two folding creases, a small rip, and light creasing of the edges, remains better than very fine.
