(Insignien). A mixed lot of insignia accompanied by a paper slip filled out by Private First Class Arthur G. Manning, a United States Army Infantry serviceman, indicating that Manning imported the items as war souvenirs, including:
1. An NSDAP member’s armband, constructed of a red cotton/rayon blended cloth base, the exterior bearing a white cotton/rayon blended cloth disc, in turn overlaid by a multi-piece black mobile swastika, the interior retaining an intact Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) label with a maker’s code of “A4/213” for Ewald Beiersmann & Sohn, Wuppertal-Langerfeld, measuring 18 cm (w) x 10 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface, in near extremely fine condition.
2. A matching set of National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK) Sturmmann collar tabs, including a rank tab, constructed of dark grey wool with a buckram core, trimmed with golden-yellow piping, and bearing a single silver aluminum wire tresse bisected by a black threaded band, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), and; a unit tab, constructed of dark grey wool with a buckram core, trimmed with golden-yellow piping, and bearing silvered numerals “4/83” (4 Sturm, 83 Standarte), unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), both in uniform-removed and extremely fine condition/
3. An NSFK Mann shoulder strap, constructed of dark grey wool, trimmed with golden-yellow piping, and pinned with metal numerals “16”, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 110 mm (l), in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.
