Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from a circular plate, maker marked with the logo of E. Ferdinand Wiedmann, Frankfurt, measuring 44.67 mm (w) x 65.12 mm (h), weighing 33.4 grams, demonstrating loss of silver finish throughout the base metal,
