Of outstanding quality and attention to detail, a chasuble is a piece of liturgical clothing worn by priests, deacons, and bishops during Mass, a long, sleeveless garment with an opening in the center for the head, made of heavily embroidered white silk, backed in red cotton, and highly decorated with silk threading, obverse featuring gilt bullion elongated vertical lines with heavily embroidered bullion floral elements at centre, reverse with similar floral design within a crucifix and a superbly executed cypher at centre in gilt threading and wire bullion, measuring 111 cm (h) x 65 cm (w), accompanied by matching band Cincture, also in silk and with gilt iconography, measuring 200 cm in total length, extremely fine.
