Hardcover, hunter green cloth cover, formally entitled "Springfield Shoulder Arms 1795-1865 - A Description of the Flint Lock Muskets, Musketoons and Carbines and the Muskets, Muketoons and Carbines and Special Models From 1795 to 1865 with Ordnance Office Reports, Tables and Correspondence and a Sketch of Springfield Armory", complied by Claud E. Fuller of New York City, published by Francis Bannerman Son of Blue Point, New York and S and S Firearms of Glendale, New York, originally published in 1930 and copyrighted in 1931, reprinted in 1968 and copyrighted by Francis Bannerman Son and S and S Firearms, printed in the United States. Page two features a view of the Upper Water Shops, Springfield Armory in 1830, the book itself divided into eight chapters, containing 176 pages of text, multiple charts and drawings, along with incorporating twenty-six photographic plates, printed in black ink on a white semi-gloss paper stock, measuring 217 mm (w) x 283 mm (h) x 14 mm (h). The exterior exhibiting foxing on the top edges of the pages, otherwise, near extremely fine.
