In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
A Paratrooper’s switch blade, by Camillus New York, featuring a sharp stainless steel blade with brass sliding lock and release button on the side featuring bright orange isoplaste glass filled nylon, the other device is a steel hook blade knife used for cutting ropes, measures 110 mm (w) x 17.5 mm (h), remains near extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The MC-1 Paratrooper Switchblade was produced primarily by Camillus Cutlery Company beginning in the late 1950s under U.S. military contract. Officially classified as a survival knife rather than a fighting knife, it was designed for paratroopers and aircrew who needed a compact, one-hand-operable cutting tool in emergencies. The knife features a spring-activated main blade that deploys via a push button, along with a separate folding hook blade (shroud cutter) specifically intended for cutting parachute lines, webbing, or harness straps without risking injury from an exposed edge. Many examples were produced with bright orange handles for visibility against flight gear. Although innovative in concept, the MC-1 developed a mixed reputation due to occasional reliability issues with its locking and spring mechanism. In addition to Camillus, other contractors such as Schrade manufactured variants over the years. Production for military contracts continued into the early 1990s, after which the design was phased out in favor of more modern rescue tools. Today, the MC-1 is primarily valued as a collectible piece of Cold War–era military equipment rather than as a practical field knife.
