In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(Order of the Imperial Dragon, Bronze Decoration). Constructed of bronze gilt, with a voided tilted square in the centre, on a fixed loop and swivel ring for suspension from its period original ribbon with a leftward facing elongated dragon pinback suspension, the obverse with the letters “C.R.E” and the date “1900” in simulated Chinese character strokes, surrounded by the inscription “Not to Conquer but to Save”, the reverse number impressed “377”, unmarked, measuring 32.8 mm in diameter, weighing 16.42 grams, in overall better than very fine condition.
Footnote: The Order of the Imperial Dragon was authorized by Imperial Decree in 1862 and also known as "Bao Xing Merit Medal". The decoration was awarded to both British as well as French government officials and civilians. Initially created to acknowledge those Western participants contributed to the defeat of the Taiping Rebellion between 1850 to 1864, the Bao Xing Merit Medal was influential in the design and creation of the later instituted Order of the Double Dragon in 1882.
