United Kingdom. The Royal Victorian Order, Knight Commander’s Set

Instituted in 1896. A Knight Commander Set comprising the Neck Badge, in multi-piece construction, in silver with red, green, blue and white enamels, gilt reverse numbered “956”, measuring 49.7 mm (w) x 53.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, weighs 45.79 grams with loop and suspended from its original full-length neck ribbon with hook and eye closure, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition. 

Accompanied by the Breast Star, in multi-piece construction, in silver with red, green and blue enamels, mounted to a base with four arms, each of the arms with nine faceted rays, with nine smaller faceted rays between each arm, reverse is numbered “956”,  with a recently repaired Gold pin, the star measuring 73.2 mm (w) x 72.4 mm (h), weighs 69.38 grams, enamels intact, lovely patina to silver, in near very fine condition.
