A pair of promotion documents to David Pemberton Wilcock making him an officer in army of the the newly formed Republic of Zambia, featuring the following:
1. A promotion document to David Pemberton Wilcock, promoting him to Second Lieutenant of the Land Forces. It is dated August 10th, 1946 and takes effect August 31st, 1946. The document is pre-pinted on off-white paper in black ink with dotted blanks for filling in by hand. It is contained in a slender black wooden frame behind a flat pane of glass. The reverse consists of a paper backer, with the hooks and wire previously holding up the document having been lost though age. It measures 315 mm (w) x 417 nn (l).
2. A promotion document in the name of President of the Sovereign Republic of Zambia, Kennet David Kaunda, to David Pemberton Wilcock, promoting him to Lieutenant Colonel in the Regular Army. It is dated February 2nd, 1965 and takes effect 24th October 1964. It is contained in a slender black wooden frame behind a flat pane of glass. The reverse consists of a paper backer, with the hooks and wire previously holding up the document having been lost though age. It measures 315 mm (w) x 417 nn (l).
Both documents are secured in their frame beind glass and are extremely well preserved, in better than extremely fine condition with some damage to the rear of the frames where the eyelets have been removed.
