In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Hardcover, sapphire blue cloth cover, the text on the front cover and spine, along with the image of the fouled anchor on the front cover in gold-coloured ink, entitled "Naval General Service Medal 1793-1840 - Alphabetical Roll of Recipients - To the Royal Navy of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars", compiled by Colin Message, privately published by Colin Message in association with J.M. Hayward & Son in 1996, printed in Great Britain by Ipswich Book Company Ltd. It begins with a List of Contents, followed by a List of Abbreviations, an Introduction, the bulk of the book divided into three sections: Section 1 - Alphabetical Roll of Recipients - Medals with 1-4 Clasps (which documents the majority of the recipients); Section 2 - Alphabetical Roll of Recipients - Medals with 5-7 Clasps; Section 3 - Alphabetical Roll of Recipients - Greenwich Hospital. Each section lists the recipient's surname, his forename, the clasp(s) awarded, the ship(s) he was serving on with which the clasp was awarded for, any provenance known, and applicable notes regarding the recipient or the actual medal itself. Sections 1 and 3 are listed in chart form due to the voluminous number of the recipients, whereas Section 2 is listed in blocks of six recipients on each page, due to the five plus clasps and ships acknowledged for the recipients. The book contains 634 pages of text, printed in black ink, on an off-white paper stock, the three section dividers on a blue card stock, weighing 1.8 kilograms, measuring 300 mm (w) x 215 mm (h) x 50 mm (d). The book exhibits very light scuffing on the back cover, the pages remaining pristine. An invaluable resource to historians and collectors, along with being an easily accessible record for the descendants of the recipients. Near extremely fine.
Reference Guide Shipping Policy: An additional shipping charge may be applicable following the time of purchase due to size, weight, and quantity. Please note that books cannot be shipped via Canada Post Flat Tracked method.
