In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
A white foreign services helmet with brass fittings, composed of pith and covered in a white lacquer, featuring a brass finial with surrounding leaf pattern around the base, and a leather chin strap attached to the interior and folded over the brim. An 8th Royal Rifles cap badge in blackened white metal has been punctured through the helmet, measures 42.6 mm (h) x 52.0 mm (h), both lugs intact. A hook presides near the back to the metal chin strap attachment (not included). The interior features a green cloth brim with leather sweatband, screwpost for the finial, and reverse of the hook for the chinstrap. Measuring 314mm (l - brim to brim) x 205 mm (w) x 300 mm (h), the cap exhibits wear to the brim in the form of cracking and loss of lacquer, discolouration to the exterior, cap badge instead of helmet plate, and flaking leather to the sweatband.
Footnote: The British Foreign Service Helmet was introduced in the 1870s for use in its overseas colonies. The pattern was still used into the 2000s.
